‘Dining Month Portland’ Returns This June
Restaurants Whet Appetites With $25 Prix Fixe Menus ALL Month
PORTLAND, Ore., May 25, 2011 – You’ve been waiting all year, and now it’s back — Dining Month Portland returns to the Rose City this June. For the entire month, 61 participating restaurants will offer three-course dinner menus — including an appetizer, entrée and dessert — for just $25. To sweeten the deal even more, coupons for $1 off evening parking at five SmartPark garages are available in local publications. In addition, diners can win more than $1,300 worth of restaurant gift certificates through the Downtown Portland Facebook page.
“It’s time to celebrate our city’s vibrant culinary scene and world-class chefs,” said Courtney S. Ries, Director of the Downtown Marketing Initiative. “The goal of Dining Month Portland is to offer visiting and local diners a reason to get out and experience the city’s many notable and award-winning restaurants, all at a great price.”
Dining Month Portland is sponsored by Open Table and American Express. For every reservation booked on Open Table through the link on the Dining Month Portland website (www.diningmonthportland.com) the Downtown Marketing Initiative will make a donation to Oregon Food Bank. Oregon Food Bank works with a cooperative, state wide network of partner agencies to distribute emergency food to hungry families.
Can’t decide where to dine? Hungry Portlanders can “spin the wheel” at Downtown Portland’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/downtownportland) for delicious recommendations. As an added bonus, diners can enter to win a sweepstakes package featuring a gift card from every restaurant participating in the promotion — totaling more than $1,300 worth of fabulous dining to enjoy throughout the year. Entries will be accepted starting June 1, 2011. In addition to the grand prize, four contestants each week will receive a $25 gift card to one of the participating Dining Month Portland restaurants.
