Irving St. Kitchen’s Made-To Order Thanksgiving Dinner To-Go
Pick Up Your Bird and Fixin’s & Gift One To A Family In Need
(October 28, 2011) Portland, OR – Irving St. Kitchen’s Executive Chef Sarah Schafer loves cooking Thanksgiving dinner. That’s why this holiday, she and her staff will be hanging out in Irving St.’s kitchen preparing $50 Thanksgiving Dinners To-Go for Portlanders who – let’s face it – just don’t have the time, space or kitchen tools to make a proper Thanksgiving feast at home. Schafer and her team will also be preparing meals for those who don’t have the resources to provide one.
Remember, no one has to know you didn’t hand smash the potatoes and roast the turkey. Irving St. wants to make your life easier and your kitchen (or your host’s) smell amazing. How? Place an order for one half 12-Hour Brined Organic Turkey, Country Gravy, Smashed Potatoes, Collard Greens and Buttermilk Biscuits with Pepper Jelly. Each order feeds 2 to 3 people, with leftovers likely. Don’t forget the additional sides of Andouille Sausage and Oyster Stuffing, Barbara’s Home Stuffing (a Shafer family classic), Sweet Potato and Brussels Sprout Hash, Cranberry Sauce...and more. Pie? Nope - here it’s all about the Butterscotch Pudding!
Irving St. Kitchen is continuing a partnership with Multnomah County’s Commission on Children, Families & Community this holiday season, giving the gift of a traditional Thanksgiving to recently reunited families. Last year, Irving St. delivered nearly 40 dinners donated by guests and this year, they hope to gift even more. It’s easy, just donate an order to-go and Irving St. Kitchen will deliver to families on Thanksgiving Day.
All orders must be placed by November 18 at 6 p.m. To order or to donate, please call the restaurant at: 503-343-9440.
