The Painted Lady Stands Out In 2011

Oregon Wine Country Restaurant Proudly Joins AAA’s Esteemed Properties in the Four-Diamond Category

Newberg, OR (October 20, 2011) The Painted Lady Restaurant is attracting attention. The Victorian beauty in Oregon wine country is proud to announce AAA Four Diamond Status, an honor assigned exclusively to establishments that meet and uphold AAA’s rigorous quality standards. From cuisine to experience, they are ranked as top destinations.

“We’ve been working for this recognition, for both the restaurant and the region, since we opened in 2005,” says executive chef Allen Routt, who owns and operates The Painted Lady Restaurant in the heart of Oregon wine country. “We strive to give guests a sense of place when they walk through the door, and we’re proud that AAA has recognized that. Now we’re after that next diamond!”

AAA’s Diamond Rating System is North America’s premier rating program. AAA annually evaluates more than 59,000 lodgings and restaurants, and rates them on a scale of one to five diamonds. The evaluation process is stringent, covering everything from presentation and ingredients, to service and ambiance, and even the quality of menu materials. Standards are so rigorous in fact, that last year no Oregon restaurants made the list and less than 3% of all restaurants approved by AAA achieve this prestigious distinction.

The Painted Lady Restaurant is owned and operated by Chef Allen Routt and his wife and front of house manager Jessica Bagley, who seven years ago refurbished this beautiful two-story Victorian home, creating their dream restaurant on a tree-lined street in the heart of Newberg, Oregon. Inside the green exterior and bright red door, Routt and Bagley bring the region’s abundant ingredients to life with their five-course tasting menu, and optional wine pairings.  Ingredients come in the back door from neighboring farms, and are transformed into dishes like crispy skin striped bass with cauliflower purée and caper brown butter, then paired with small, local wines that the wait staff is eager to share with guests.

The Painted Lady is open for dinner from 5pm, Wednesday-Sunday. For reservations visit their website at: www.thepaintedladyrestaurant.com, or call 503-538-3850.
