Portland Cocktail Week Invades Oregon

 

PORTLAND, Ore. (July 29, 2011) - It’s no secret that Portland, Oregon (a.k.a. Portlandia) is an incubator of craft cocktail genius. Right now, Portland’s bartending community is hard at work, gearing up for the cocktail party of a lifetime on their home turf, and they want you to know about it first.

From October 20 - 23, 2011, Portland Cocktail Week will return for a second round. They’ll turn the fair city of Portland into one of the biggest booze fueled parties of the year with the help of internationally renowned bartenders and industry luminaries, who will unite for the collaborative celebration of craft cocktail culture – a celebration brought to you by bartenders, for bartenders.

Expect tastings, a cocktail cart (yes, a cart with cocktails!), seminars, competitions, workshops and a lot of great cocktail parties that will be open to the public and cater to home mixologists and expert cocktail enthusiasts. With the famous Jupiter Hotel as its headquarters, PCW will host the first Robots vs. Bartenders showdown, the Great American Distillers Festival, and more….
