Wildwood Has A New Bar…So They’re Inviting In Local Distillers To Celebrate
Every Third Thursday Means Late Night “Guest Distillery Series” at Wildwood Restaurant & Bar
Portland, Ore. (August 10, 2010) – The third Thursday of the month has a whole new meaning at Wildwood Restaurant & Bar: one local distillery, five $5 cocktails curated by Wildwood bartender Ryan Csanky. Plus – representatives from the featured local distillery will sip and sample with guests at the beautifully renovated bar.
Beginning Thursday, July 29, from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m., Northwest Portland’s Wildwood Restaurant will kick off its new “Guest Distillery Series” with local favorite New Deal Distillery. Bartender Ryan Csanky will mix up $5 cocktails featuring New Deal spirits – New Deal Vodka, Hot Monkey Chile Vodka, Mud Puddle Chocolate Vodka and No. 3 Gin. And, what makes the “Guest Distillery Series” extra special is that during this program, New Deal’s Owner/Distiller Tom Burkleaux will be on hand to talk with guests, as Csanky and the team mix up drinks with Wildwood’s unique kitchen to bar approach.
“Portland is the hub for local spirits, so bartenders here are in a position to be hyper-local with cocktail menus,” says Ryan Csanky, Wildwood bartender. “Our Guest Distillery Series is an opportunity to celebrate local spirits, while offering our guests a chance to mingle with the local distillers and learn what local bartenders are doing with these spirits.”
The “Guest Distillery Series” launches just as Wildwood premieres its new and improved bar area, which recently underwent a revamp – new art, floors, bar stools and more.
Wildwood will host its “Guest Distillery Series” every third Thursday of the month and feature five $5 cocktails with one local distillery.

Slip Away: Mud Puddle Chocolate Vodka, Maker’s Mark, Hot Monkey Chile Vodka, Cinnamon
Pacific Standard Time: New Deal No. 3 Gin, Liquor Stregga, fresh lime, house made grapefruit bitters
Controlled Burn: Mount Gay Rum, Hot Monkey Chile Vodka, local strawberry puree, fresh lime, cilantro
New Deal: New Deal Vodka, Campari, Cointreau, fresh lemon
Brighton Holiday: New Deal No. 3 Gin, local cucumber, house thyme syrup, fresh lime, soda
